Kelly ONeill Kelly O'Neill VN
Day Care Owner, Qualified Veterinary Nurse and Delta Accredited Professional Dog Trainer. Member of the APDTA & APDTNZ

"I have worked with animals since I was 13 in which I started my career as a volunteer at the local rescue centre, I then decided that Veterinary Nursing was the path I wanted to follow.
When I was 16 I enlisted to study and work as a Veterinary Nurse in some of the busiest animal hospitals in England.
In 2007 I came to New Zealand as a Head Veterinary Nurse. During my career in both England and New Zealand I developed a passion for pet training - educating people and their pets with simple positive techniques to be socially acceptable in today's busy world.

I thoroughly enjoy pet training and helping people develop their pet to be an important part of the family. In September 2010 I launched The Happy Pawes Dog Day Care Centre which is very unique and I specifically wanted a centre that can offer not only a personal service for you but also your dog.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you make the right decisions for your animal's wellbeing."

"I absolutely adore all animals and am currently in my last year of study for my Veterinary Nursing certificate. I hold an Animal Care certificate and a Companion Animal Services certificate.
I have volunteered at the SPCA in the Canine and Feline units as well as many different Rescue organisations. I am very passionate about animal welfare and ensuring that all animals get the love and attention they deserve. I find working at Happy Pawes to be very rewarding because I get to spend my days making dogs happy! ."

Laura Purkiss Laura Purkis
Dog Day Care Assistant and Member of the APDTNZ

"I am a passionate dog lover, originally from the UK and enjoy living and working in New Zealand.

One of the biggest highlights of my life so far was rescuing my puppy from the Dogs Trust. I believe in giving animals the chance to be part of a loving and caring family. I work alongside Kelly assisting with the Happy Pawes puppy and dog training classes.

I enjoy being outdoors and taking my dog for nice long walks, as well as being cuddled up with a good book on those Auckland rainy days."

Kayla Jensen Kayla Jensen
Dog Day Care Assistant

"Currently I am in my first year of study and working as a part-time Dog Care Assistant, in the afternoons. I have a strong passion for dogs and their wellbeing. Being a dog owner myself I understand their daily needs and love giving animals some TLC.
I am an SPCA Canine volunteer and enjoy this position very much; it's a rewarding and heart-warming job. I am very active, love the outdoors, spending time with my Golden Retriever and travelling."

Rebecca Dawe Rebecca Dawe
Dog Day Care Assistant

"I have just finished my final year of high school and have started working part time at Happy Pawes Dog Day Care and Training centre. I have always had a love of animals, growing up with dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits. Living away from home I have adopted two adorable Chihuahuas. Therefore I know how to keep dogs healthy and happy. My love of dogs has now transformed to a love of working with them. Going to work and being able to interact with many different dogs has become the highlight of my day."
